Radar "YI9PT", began initial operations on February 1, 2008. This initial operation is with a broad-band wire dipole from a temporary location until the permanent site is available and the SteppIR yagi arrives. Operations on 17, 20 and 40 & 80 meters have provided QSOs with Europe, Africa and Asia. Pilot station - N4NW, states that the current effort to raise funds for an amplifier are progressing but still additional funds are needed. Once The SteppIR is installed, YI9PT's signal will improve.
