Stafford DX Association News, Release nr. 1

The Stafford (VA) DX Association announces that one of its members, K2PT, has obtained a license and will commence operation from Iraq immanently as YI9PT. SDXA members: N4NW, K4HR, N4XP, N1DG and OK1KT are providing logistical support thereby allowing Radar time to concentrate on operating.

Initial operation will be 17 and 20 meters utilizing a wire antenna until a SteppIR yagi shipped by the support team arrives. Once fully operational, activity will be on 10 through 160 meters. Currently, the support team is raising funds to obtain an amplifier.

All QSL requests go to N4XP. Complete information may be found on the SDXA web site www.stafford-dx-association.org which is being maintained by N1DG. Additional information, updates, log check and sponsor information will be provided on the web site, updated as the operating conditions change. Equipment and QSL support is being provided by ICOM, NCDXF, INDEXA, Equity Commerce and ELLI print.
